Set Up Email Forwarding
Posted by on 28 October 2013 03:45 PM

It's easy to set up mail forwarding right from your cPanel account. In the Forwarders section of cPanel you can set up a particular email address to act like a redirect to another one.

To set up mail forwarding:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account
  2. Click Forwarders in the Mail section of your cPanel account
  3. Click Add Forwarder
  4. Enter the email prefix in the Address to Forward blank text box
  5. If you have more than one domain in your account choose the one you'd like to create a forward for from the dropdown menu to the right
  6. Enter the forwarding email address in the first blank Destination text box
  7. Click Add Forwarder, near the bottom
  8. Click Go Back

You can edit or delete any existing forwarding mechanisms from this page.

Note: the mail for a forwarded email address will still be delivered to the original sent-to address as well. If you just set up a forwarder, the mail will not be kept locally. If you set up the email account AND a forwarder, then your mail will be kept both locally and forwarded.
