Create Additional FTP Accounts
Posted by on 28 October 2013 04:01 PM

You already know how to create FTP accounts in your cPanel account, and now we'll run through creating additional FTP accounts in your cPanel dashboard.

To create additional FTP accounts:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account
  2. Click FTP Accounts in the Files section of cPanel
  3. Scroll down to browse a list of FTP accounts that have already been set up in the Account Management section
  4. Scroll up and enter a log in name in the Login field and a password below (and type a second round of the password below that)

  5. If you leave '/demo' in the directory text box then the user of this FTP account will only have access to the /demo directory and all folders underneath it. To give the user access to the entire website delete everything except the forward slash.

  6. Add a quota limit on the FTP if desired and click Create
  7. Click Go Back, where you can view and edit any current FTP accounts
